砂希盟主席张健仁今天在国会召开新闻发布会宣布，希盟政府向砂拉越最新献议是保持原有5%石油及天然气开采税，以及额外拨出20%的石油盈利。
他说，由于砂政府在第14届全国大选期间拒绝了新政协议，因此如今提出新献议。
Pakatan Harapan federal government has altered its promise of 20 per cent oil and gas royalties to Sarawak, after the Sarawak government did not accept the condition set in their ‘New Deal Agreement’ prior to the 14th General Election.
Deputy Minister of Domestic Trade and Consumer Affairs Chong Chieng Jen, who announced this outside the Parliament Chamber in Kuala Lumpur today, said the oil and gas royalties will be retained at five per cent and Sarawak will be getting 20 per cent of oil profit as extra.
According to him, the promises of 20 per cent of oil and gas royalties to Sarawak and 50 per cent of tax revenue collected in Sarawak be returned to Sarawak come with an underlying condition, that the Sarawak government must use the fund on education and healthcare development.
Chong, who is Stampin MP, said since Sarawak government did not accept the condition, the PH government had to alter its promises.
